DARREN J PERRY – EDITOR

DarrenPerryHeadDarren studied Art and Film at Harrow University of Westminster following this with an HND in Film Production at Ealing Film Studios.

As a freelance he has filmed and edited for the likes of The King’s Head Theatre recording their plays for archive purposes and worked as quality control for ITFC supervising master DVD material for the BBC including The Omega Factor and their adaptations of Shakespeare plays to the small screen.

He was Production Assistant and Camera Operator for the recording of Cast and Crew interviews for Anchor Bay Entertainment (2007) and The Criterion Collection (2005) for the late New York based Film Producer Richard Gordon and Film Director Norman J. Warren for two DVD Box-Sets of their films. Having trained full time at Riverside Studios as a Film Projectionist he has worked with 16mm and 35mm Film and further to this with Film and Digital at the prestigious London Film School, Covent Garden.

Over the years he has helped with the programming at The Manchester Festival of Fantastic Films, in his own spare time he runs a Film Society. He entered the film industry as a Runner progressing to 3rd Assistant Director on several U.K. Feature Films including The Brothers Grimm (2005), The Magic Flute (2006) & StreetDance 2 (2012). After completing an AVID Certified Training Course in 2009, in 2012 he had the opportunity to work as Editor Trainee with Tariq Anwar on the Feature Film Great Expectations(2012), directed by Mike Newell.
